TWINS!!!!

No no...not me!! As fun as that would be I think one is enough for me! But...my big news for this week is that my sister Julie is pregnant with TWINS!!! She already has 2 adorable kids and now her family is going to double! Crazy. But she will be such a good Mom and can totally handle it. The crazist part of all of this is that no one on either side of the family has ever had twins!! So you can imagine how surprised she was to find out that the reason her stomach was a bit larger than it should be for how far along she is was because of twins!! I'm so excited for her and can't wait to meet the little twiners.

For those of you who are wondering about baby Carter...he's doing great!! And so am I! This whole pregnancy things is such a new and different experience for me. Carter sleeps all day long while I'm wide awake and as soon as I lay down for a little shut eye, he gets the hiccups and starts practicing his quite impressive gymnastic skills! The little stinker!! But my favorite part are those moments when I'm not trying to sleep that he will stick out his little foot or hand and I can feel it and we have a little moment together! I love it when he reacts to my touch. And that's why is so great to be a Mom! We get to have those early bonding moments with our children that men can't have. Mike has definitely felt the baby move and has at least been able to experience that but it's no where near the same. It probably doesn't help that it creeps him out to feel something living and moving inside of me (even though it's his son!!!). We can't wait for him to get here and we are getting a little anxious! Christmas is still so far away but he will be the best Christmas gift I could ask for!

Halloween Party

Me and my favorite co-workers

It's been a long time since I have actually dressed up for Halloween so I thought this year I would think of something good and dress up. I work for the State of Utah and we had a little Halloween party today and a costume contest. And I won!!! I was a pregnant nun and I was a little hesitant to wear it since it could be a little offensive to someone who is Catholic. But it turned out ok and everyone loved it!

David's Home!!

Time flies and I can't believe David is already home! For those of you who don't know, he served an LDS mission in Mexico City. He got home October 6th and then all of the family, well almost all, were able to go home for his homecoming talk. It was such a nice weekend and David did a great job. It's fun to have him home. At first he sounded like a little Mexican but I think his accent is gone and he is back to the same little David he has always been.

Since David came home on a Monday it was hard for very many of us to be at the airport..sad I know! But, as you can see, my creative Mom drew faces on balloons to represent everyone in our family!!

Me and My Belly

So here it is ladies and gentleman....my baby bump! I still don't understand how I could get any bigger but it seems to happen every day! Carter is getting so big and he is such a busy body!! It makes me nervous for when he is born, I bet he will be such a wiggle worm! We are working on his room so stay tuned for some pics of the little nursery!!!

We live for BYU football!!!

Like the title says, we live for BYU football. It's my favorite time of the year! But I'll admit..I was a little nervous when Mike said he wanted to paint his face for the BYU vs. UCLA game. I guess since I'm graduated I just feel like I'm past that phase in life but I have to remember that my cute hubby is still living it. I think he would have done it even if I didn't want him to so I guess it's a good thing I decided in my mind that I didn't care. Don't worry, him and Jake weren't like most people who paint their faces. They behaved themselves. But then again it was pretty easy to since we killed UCLA!!! Yeah..go BYU!!!!

Jake and Mike
Jake looked so funny but putting sun glasses on really helped tone it down. Ha ha..I still just have to laugh when I look at them.

Fine Dining experience

Last month me and Mike celebrated our one year anniversary. We went up to Midway to celebrate and stayed at The Blue Boar Inn. It was during the Olympics and I don't know about most of you, but me and Mike really got into the swimming part of the olympics. Needless to say, Michael Phelps is amazing! So on Friday night, instead of going on a nice romantic dinner date we ended up getting sucked into the olympics. Well, when we got hungry we decided to just go downstairs to the restaurant they have to eat quick so we wouldn't miss Michael Phelps next event. In our shorts and flip flops we walked down and right away the server asked if we had reservations. Right as we told them no, they quickly told us it was ok and that they would have a spot available for us shortly. As we looked around we noticed that everyone in the restaurant was in nice collard shirts, some of the women were in dresses, and EVERYONE was sitting upright and with thier hands in their lap and everything! We were hoping they would just seat us on the side or in the back but no...right smack dab in the middle of the entire restaurant. And the restaurant isn't that big! I felt like everyone was looking at us and judging our appearance but we went ahead anyway. The menu had courses on it so we were all flustered with ordering...I didn't want four courses but didn't know if I was allowed to order something from the 3 course menu first! Well, we ended up just ordering what we wanted and paying more for one meal than we had planned on spending the entire weekend and we missed Michael Phelps because they took their sweet time with us. The food was delicious and we had a good laugh. It was a great weekend and I recommend the Blue Boar Inn to anyone who is looking for a nice close getaway. But if you want to eat their food, make sure you bring nice clothes and a few extra bucks!

This is the top of our wedding cake that we saved. Believe it or not it still tasted really good! Thanks to a great cake maker who knows how to wrap and store a wedding cake (thanks Michelle!)!!

Highest point in the lower 48 states....

And my husband has been there!!! I want to take a moment and brag about my family...I am so proud of Mike and everyone who climbed Mt. Whitney! What an accomplishment! AND he went alone with my brothers and Dad...that's pretty brave. They spent a week and backpacked through the Sierra mountains and ended up on the top of Mt. Whitney their last day of hiking. Meanwhile, me, my Mom, and sister-in-law Michelle spent the week in St. George relaxing and shopping for baby stuff! It was a nice vacation...here are some pics

What a hottie! This is Mike on the Summit of Mt. Whitney.

These guys are the mountain men themselves, Andrew, Courtney (she didn't hike), Bryan, Dad, and Mike.

This is the throne they sat on...apparently it was a hit! They all talked about how nice it was to be in wide open nature relieving themselves!

The temple and my scruffy husband...both rather beautiful sites in my opinion :)
